Pokemon Go's Easter themed event is just around the corner. Starting on April 16th and ending on April 23rd, this week long event is focused on egg-hatching. Durring this event you can expect to see Pokemon like Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby in 2km eggs. There is also a change to catch a Shiny Buneary. There will also be double hatch candy, halved incubator distance, and 60 minute lucky eggs. There also may be some other Pokemon hatching from eggs as well as field research related to hatching eggs.

I just want to share this trailer with you because it looks like it'll be a pretty decent movie. I'm kind of surprised to see a live-action Pokémon movie and even more surprised that Ryan Reynolds voices Pikachu.
Shortly after this event started, I came across this infographic and found out just how rare the regional Pokémon are. Throughout the event, I have hatched quite a few 7km eggs. I should have tried to keep an exact count, but my best guess would be about 100 eggs in total. A majority of the eggs ended up being Meowth, but as frustrating as it was, I continued to repeat the cycle and hatch as many 7km eggs as possible.
In total, I hatched 5 Kangaskhan and 5 Mr. Mime.
Farfetch'd: I previously had captured some Farfetch'd from last Fall's event. I did not keep track of how many I hatched during this even before transfering some of them out, but I was happy to get one with 100% IVs at 624CP.
Overall, I'm pretty happy to complete my Gen 1 Pokédex and get some pretty good Pokémon. With the regionals having relatively low CP, they are more of a novelty than anything. The best part of this event was completing my Pokédex. With the low hatch-rates it is quite taxing on your incubators, but I will still be looking forward to a similar event to get Gen 2 or Gen 3 regional exclusive Pokémon. Next time they hold this event, I may not try to hatch as many as this time. Depending on how many incubators I have, I might only try to catch one of each to complete another generations Pokédex.
